Alupanel and Dibond® are high-quality aluminum composite panels, consisting of two thin aluminum outer layers with a polyethylene (PE) core in between. This sandwich structure results in a lightweight, rigid, and durable panel that is highly resistant to weather and UV radiation. Thanks to the smooth and flat surfaces, these panels are ideal for printing and various processing applications.
Well-known trade names include Dibond®, Alupanel®, Imagebond®, and ACP (Aluminum Composite Panel).

How do I fabricate Alupanel / Dibond®?

These panels machine like wood or plastic: you can saw, router, drill, glue, and even bend them with the right groove preparation.

Are the panels fire-safe?

Standard panels have a polyethylene core and are not fire-rated. However, fire-rated versions with a mineral core are available to meet higher safety standards.

What is the maximum sheet size?

Commonly up to 3050 × 1500 mm; larger formats can often be ordered on request.

Are the panels recyclable?

Yes, the aluminium skins and the polyethylene core can both be recycled, supporting sustainable building practices.

 

Can the panels be bent?

Yes, by V-grooving the back of the panel, you can create crisp folds without cracking the surface.
