The Origin of CutWise

CutWise traces its roots to the day-to-day operations at BMTEC, the laser cutting company founded in 2013 by Bakschik Martirosian. For eight years, we handled quotes and production processes in the traditional way, which gave us valuable insights into the challenges and needs of engineers and buyers in the manufacturing industry, especially in sheet metal work.

Because it is in our DNA to constantly strive for improvement, we continually explored how processes could be made simpler, faster, more efficient, and better scalable. It soon became clear that full digitalization and automation—from quote request to delivery—would represent a huge leap forward. From that conviction, the idea for CutWise emerged in 2020.

More than 10,000 Users and Growing

Today, over 10,000 users across Europe rely on CutWise, and that number is growing daily by more than 20 new users. Every week, we handle production for more than 150,000 custom semi-finished parts. Industrial manufacturers in various sectors—from machinery to the automotive, aerospace, and aviation industries—use CutWise to easily calculate and purchase their laser-cut and milled parts.
